In a gas leak simulation exercise, the Wearin’ team demonstrated its IoT solution for critical intelligence in enhancing first responders’ situational awareness. It provided real-time data generated by wearable biometric sensors and gas detection alerts to the control and monitoring dashboards of the command center coordinating the operations. Its sensors and alarm-generated ecosystem complemented Crimson’s (CS Group) mapping software solution, ensuring the success of the Belgian firefighters’ intervention. In the exercise simulating an urgent intervention on the EuroFos container terminal site for a major chemical disaster, Wearin’s smart vest was used by the Austrian Forces Disaster Relief Unit, which specializes in decontamination and CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) defense. Data from biometric sensors and environmental detection alarm systems provided real-time situational awareness data to the central monitoring station. Via the cloud-based dashboard platform powered by AI, the central station communicated information and recommendations that ensured safety, efficiency, and coordination of the operations and responses.
