Rear panel mount cable connectors are available for Harwin’s 2 mm-pitch Datamate and 1.25 mm-pitch Gecko high-reliability series. The advantage of rear panel mount is that the bulk of the connector housing is located inside the enclosure for greater protection against damage and an aesthetically appealing design.
New Datamate backshells address increasingly commonplace right-angle interconnect orientations. They mate directly with Harwin’s cabling metal backshells for its female Datamate cable connectors. This means a fully EMI/RFI shielded connection can be established in a horizontal PCB to cable connection.
The GT50 Series wire-to-board connector has a 2-point contact system enclosed between two springs that minimizes the effect of heat shrinkage on the contacts and improves contact reliability.
