Components must demonstrate suitability for harsh oper- ating conditions and long service life. A connector system intended for harsh environment use must address tem- perature, vibration, grounding, and installation reliability in a disciplined way. Key attributes include: • High-temperature capability, supporting wire and con- tact systems rated to 175 °C “ Designers can configure the connector to the application rather than selecting entirely different connector families for each use case

From technology to system While SPE defines the data protocol, real-world success depends on how the technology is implemented at the connector and harness level. A connector system designed for SPE must do more than pass data. It must maintain controlled impedance, manage grounding and shielding appropriately, survive harsh mechanical environments, and remain manufacturable at scale. A modular SPE-optimized connector platform addresses these needs by allowing data, power, and coaxial mod- ules to coexist within a common mechanical architecture. Designers can configure the connector to the application rather than selecting entirely different connector families for each use case. This approach enables support for: • Shielded or Unshielded (depending on the application), up to 10 Gbps • Twisted pair SPE up to 1 Gb/s where cost optimization is critical • Integrated power modules that coexist with high-speed data • Optional coax and RF interfaces for cameras, antennas, and sensors The result is a flexible connector family that scales across aircraft cabins, avionics bays, UAV payloads, satellites, and advanced industrial equipment.

Designed for harsh environments

Modulus Connector platform is designed from the ground up with layered secondary assurances to ensure proper orientation, full mating, and terminal retention every time.
